Crafting A Legacy
Our new campaign brings together two generations of basketball to reflect on the discipline behind greatness.
Crafting A Legacy
Our new campaign brings together Carmelo Anthony and Josh Hart to reflect on the hard work and discipline behind crafting a legacy. Precision, repetition, and relentless obsession. Because legacy is neither given nor inherited, it’s crafted.
That pursuit of excellence also shapes our Chevron Collection. Sculpted with exacting symmetry, its precise angles create a powerful sense of forward momentum.
Crafting a legacy means putting in the discipline and dedication that most people don’t see.

A Celebration Of Craft And Community
To celebrate Crafting a Legacy, David Yurman welcomed Josh Hart, Carmelo Anthony, and special guests for an unforgettable evening in the heart of New York City. On a custom basketball court inspired by the Chevron collection, the pursuit of excellence came to life through competition, mentorship, and a shared dedication to the game.
Inspiring The Next Generation
Hart and Anthony surprised high school players from Kenny Graham’s West 4th Street Youth League, stepping in as coaches and mentors for a series of scrimmages and elimination rounds. Beyond the competition, the players had the opportunity to learn directly from two professionals who understand the discipline, repetition, and commitment it takes to continually refine their game.
The Legacy of Giving Back Continues
Through meaningful donations to the West 4th Street Basketball League and NYC Parks, David Yurman will help refurbish basketball courts in downtown Manhattan and The Bronx, the birthplace of our founders. This investment supports the next generation of basketball players while giving back to the city that has inspired the brand for more than five decades.
Crafting The Court
Artist Victor Solomon takes us inside the making of a Chevron-inspired basketball court for our special evening in New York City. Watch the video to learn more.
The Creative Vision
From first sketches to final details, Victor Solomon reimagined David Yurman Chevron at an entirely new scale. Inspired by the motif’s precise geometry and sense of forward momentum, the artist translated the collection’s design language into a custom basketball court made for movement.
The Custom Court
Every element was considered, from the scale and proportion of the Chevron motif to the materials, textures and finishes across the court. Solomon’s distinctive approach to basketball as an artistic medium met David Yurman’s artist-founded approach to jewelry, bringing two creative practices together through a shared dedication to craft and detail.
The Artistry of Chevron
Chevron has always been defined by more than its graphic geometry. Deep grooves and intricate valleys create dimension across each surface, while contrasting textures and finishes play with light and shadow as the jewelry moves. It’s this sculptural approach to form, surface and movement that gives Chevron its distinctive character and continues to inspire new interpretations.
