the world, drawn to them as singular expressions of nature. The Gems Collection showcases the
most spectacular of these specimens—each hand selected from the Yurman family’s private vault.

Here, gemstones such as peridot, golden tourmaline and violet kunzite provide a painter’s palette of
mesmerizing hues. Tremendous effort is made to source these unusual stones from notable suppliers
and miners—a strong and loyal network built personally by the Yurman family over many decades.

The stones in Gems tend to astonish for their rarity, size and cut. To highlight their exquisite beauty,
Evan Yurman chose to showcase them simply. Sculptural chains, recalling David’s earliest jewelry
designs, allow unconventional stones like spinel, tanzanite and kunzite to take center stage.
Diamonds perform as supporting actors, expertly hand set in a glamorous full pavé to provide
brilliance from every angle. Select pieces also include fancy colored diamonds to enhance the
natural hues of the center stones.

Gemstones were once classified as precious—diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds—and
semiprecious—all other stones. This High Jewelry Collection celebrates the Yurman family’s
unconventional approach to jewelry by setting stones of exceptional quality and color in designs
that would be traditionally reserved for precious stones. Each creation is a bold artistic statement
of American ease and luxury.

home he shared with his wife, Sybil, in upstate New York, while Stax evolves the
